Extruded Copper Shapes

C36010 (Leaded Brass)

Lead is often added to copper alloys to improve it's machinability and C36010 is no exception with a machinability rating of 100. That makes it a standard by which other alloys can be measured. However, with recent concerns over the amount of lead contained in an alloy, new compositions such as C36010 have developed which limits the lead content to a maximum of 3.7%. If this sounds like it might fit your next manufacturing application, talk to one of our expert metallurgists about this special alloy. You might find it advantageous to start with an extruded shape to reduce the amount of finished machining needed.
